The Jewish tradition is rich with holy places, holy days, holy items, and even holy people. But what does it truly mean for something to be deemed “holy” within Jewish life? This course invites us to explore the spiritual significance of both time and space in Judaism, uncovering the inherent holiness in both. We will delve into the sacred rhythms of the Jewish calendar and holy days, as well as the holy spaces of ancient temples and contemporary homes. Through examining the rituals, symbols, and practices that imbue times and spaces with sanctity, we will uncover the sacredness that permeates every moment and every corner of the Jewish experience. Join us on this journey to discover the essence of holiness in Jewish life.
